1) The pitch.
2) A reflection on the feedback you received from your last pitch.
Although I transitioned my pitch from a non-profit into my current business pursuit so it would run parallel with my customer interviews, I did take the feedback from my previous pitch about dressing up. I thought it would go unnoticed, but one of the feedback comments I received actually mentioned it so I figured I would do it this time as well.
3) What did you change, based on the feedback?
Other than my business idea as a whole, I did not change anything in the steps of pitching. I started out with relating to the customer then providing a solution, then sought the close (investment) for my business opportunity.
Shane,
ReplyDeleteAs a person that often finds herself to busy to get laundry done myself, your idea for Quick&Clean appeals to me. Now your pitch was great for 2 reasons. For one, you were very real and didn't make it seem like the goals of this service were crazy or too unrealistic to achieve. And secondly, you were very simple. Those make for a great elevator pitch. The only thing I would like to see you do a bit differently is to be more engaging. It's not that you were boring or anything, just a bit more enthusiasm and it would be perfect. Great job!
Here's the link to my elevator pitch. Enjoy!

Hey, Shane! you're video speech was smooth! You articulated well and your body language flowed naturally. I really like this about your video. A lot of the pitches I've seen sound rehearsed and nervous. Keep it up! Here's my link: http://alejandrogomezent3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no2.html
ReplyDeleteDear Shane,
ReplyDeleteI went and took a look at your first elevator pitch and was very impressed with not only your thought process for helping the less fortunate in Jacksonville but your excellent and cohesive pitch. In some way, it was a little disappointing to see that you changed the concept for this second pitch. Take a look at my elevator pitch here (http://taleemreflections.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html). There is a lot of synergy between my socially responsible concept and your first idea. If you are interested, we can talk and see if there is some potential of collaboration. I live in Tampa and am looking for people to collaborate with. As for this pitch, once again your delivery is excellent. Keep up the great work!
